Privacy policy

Pruno: Prison Empire is a game. We built it to need as little of your data as possible — there's no account and no login. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app touches and why.

What stays on your device

What we don't collect

Analytics

Pruno uses PostHog to record anonymous, aggregate product events (for example, "the app was opened" or "a crew member was hired") so we can see what's fun and what's broken. These events are first-party and not used to track you across other apps or websites, and aren't tied to your real-world identity.

Advertising

The free game shows ads via Google AdMob — optional rewarded videos you choose to watch for a boost, plus occasional interstitials. Before any ad measurement that involves tracking, iOS asks for your permission (App Tracking Transparency). Pruno plays exactly the same whether you allow tracking or not — declining just means less relevant ads. Buying No Ads, VIP Pass, or Free Man removes ads entirely.

Where the law gives you the right to opt out of personalized advertising (for example, California's "Do Not Sell or Share"), declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt — or turning off Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking — exercises that choice on your device.

Install & ad measurement

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to measure how many people install Pruno and which marketing campaign brought them, so we can run our advertising efficiently. It records a Firebase-generated app-instance identifier, the first-open (install) event, basic device and usage information, and approximate location derived from your IP address. This information is processed by Google. If you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt, your device's advertising identifier may also be used to attribute your install to one of our Google Ads campaigns. Pruno plays exactly the same whether you allow tracking or not. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Firebase uses data.

Purchases

In-app purchases — gems, the No Ads unlock, the VIP Pass subscription, Free Man, and starter packs — are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to read your purchase and subscription status so we can unlock what you bought and restore it across your devices. RevenueCat receives only the transaction data needed to manage entitlements.

Children

Pruno is a light-hearted, cartoonish caper and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
