Pruno Match privacy policy

Last updated 19 October 2026 · J&B Creations LLC

Pruno Match: Prison Escape, by J&B Creations LLC, is a game. It needs no account and no login. This policy covers the Pruno Match app. Our other game, Pruno: Idle Crime Tycoon, and this website have their own privacy policy.

What stays on your device

Your game progress is saved on your device. If you are signed in to Game Center (iPhone) or Google Play Games (Android), or use a transfer code, a copy is also kept on our server so it can follow you to a new phone (see Cloud save).

Cloud save

So your progress survives a new phone or a reinstall, the game saves a copy of it on our server. On iPhone it uses your Game Center account and on Android your Google Play Games account, if you are signed in on the device: the game receives your Game Center or Play Games player id, which Apple or Google confirm to our server, and nothing else from that account (no name, email or contacts). The copy holds your game progress (levels, stars, the escape plan, coins, power-ups and the list of purchases already delivered), when it was saved and a random id for the device that saved it. Your leaderboard player and our purchase records (RevenueCat) are tied to the same save, so they follow you too. If you are not signed in, your progress stays on your device unless you use a transfer code: a code shown in Settings for 24 hours that loads your save on another phone, once. You can sign out of Game Center or Play Games in your device settings at any time.

Game analytics

To learn which levels are too hard, where players stop and whether the store works, the game sends gameplay events to PostHog, our analytics service. Examples: a level started, a level won with 3 moves left, the store opened.

Each event carries a random ID the game creates on first launch (shown as Player ID in Settings), the app version, your device type (iPhone, iPad or Android) and system version, your language setting, and whether the app came from the App Store, Google Play or a test build. PostHog also receives the internet (IP) address the event comes from, which can show an approximate location such as a city or region.

We never send your name, email, contacts or advertising identifier to PostHog. We use analytics only to improve the game.

No ads, no tracking

Pruno Match shows no ads and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. The game contains no advertising service and never asks for or uses your device's advertising identifier.

Purchases

If you buy coins, a stash, a special offer or the Season Pass in the app, Apple or Google handles the payment. We never see your card or payment details. To deliver and restore what you bought, the game uses RevenueCat, our purchase service. It receives a random identifier created by the app, your purchase history and the store's transaction details, plus your device's language and currency. The same random identifier is attached to analytics events so we can count sales per game version. It is not linked to who you are.

Paying on the web (US only). On iPhone and iPad in the US you can choose to pay on the web instead. The game then opens a checkout page in your browser, run by RevenueCat, with payments processed by Stripe. The page receives the game's random identifier (so your items arrive in the game) and the item you picked. On that page you enter your email address and your payment details. Stripe processes the payment and may ask for your billing country, ZIP code or address for tax and fraud prevention. RevenueCat keeps your email address and the purchase, and emails you a receipt. We never see your full card number. See Stripe's privacy policy and RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Leaderboards (The Yard)

To run the in-game leaderboards, the game sends our server (our own leaderboard server, hosted on Cloudflare) a random player ID, the name you choose for the leaderboard (the game suggests one until you pick your own), your highest level, the country of your App Store or Google Play account, your platform (iOS or Android), and any friend links you make with friend codes. Other players can see your nickname, level and rank. We don't collect your location for leaderboards. Leaderboard names are checked by a word filter, any player can report a name or block another player, and names that break our rules are removed. Please don't use your real full name. To delete your leaderboard entry, contact us through the support page.

Crews

If you start or join a crew, our server keeps the crew's name, badge and members, the crew chat, lives sent between members, and the stars each member adds to the Crew Stash and Cell Block Battle. Crewmates see your Yard name, level and these. Crew chat: crewmates can type short messages (up to 120 characters) and pick preset lines. Our server stores each message with the sender's Yard player and shows it to the crew; each crew keeps only its most recent 200 messages, and older ones are deleted. Every typed message and crew name passes our word filter (no links, emails or phone numbers). You can report a message or a crew name and block a player; a message reported by several crewmates is hidden, and staff can hide messages and players.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the game can let you know when your lives are full, when an event you joined is wrapping up, or when the Yard Pass season is ending with rewards to collect, and once if you have been away for a couple of days. These reminders are set up on your device, at most one a day and never at night. Crew notifications (a crewmate asking for lives or sending you one) and occasional game news come from our server. For those, our server keeps your device's push token (a code from Apple or Google that lets a notification reach this install), your platform and your language setting, stored with your random Yard id and nothing else. We use Apple Push Notification service and Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging only to deliver these notifications. You can turn notifications off in the game's Settings or in your device settings at any time. Turning them off in the game deletes the push token from our server, and we also delete tokens Apple or Google tell us no longer work.

What we don't collect

Feedback and bug reports

If you send a bug report or idea from Settings, we receive what you typed and details that help us fix problems: the game's version and build, your device model and operating system version, your language setting, your level and prison, and your leaderboard player id if you have one. We don't ask for your email or any contact details, so we can't reply to you directly. We use reports only to improve the game, and they are never shown to other players.

Delete your data

Email joel@jandbcreations.com with the Player ID from Settings, and within 30 days we will delete the analytics events for that ID and the purchase records RevenueCat holds for it, including the email address of any web purchase. A data deletion request also removes your push token. If you are signed in or have used a transfer code, your game progress also has a copy on our servers. A data deletion request also deletes your cloud save and the player id it is stored under. A deletion request also removes any feedback you sent. A deletion request also removes your crew chat messages. Apple, Google and Stripe keep their own payment records for tax and accounting.

Children

Pruno Match is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If the game adds features that use more data, we will update this page before they ship.
